The North Georgia Yellow Jackets found themselves deep in a 3-0 hole in their NLDS matchup against the Metropolis Avengers. The hometown Yellow Jackets sent one-time Avenger Dan Haren to the mound for Game Four, hoping to extend the series. The visitors countered with Anibal Sanchez, a mid-season acquisition from the Brew City Warriors.
The Avenger hitters picked up right where they left off. The white-hot Andrew McCutchen launched a lead-off homer, just as he did the night before in Game Three. Robinson Cano has been nearly as good as McCutchen and followed with a double down the right field line. Pablo Sandoval drove home Cano with a single and then scored on a Bryce Harper ground out.

The quick start gave Metropolis a 3-0 lead in the game and seemed to take any fight out of the Yellow Jackets. Sanchez did his best to keep the North Georgia fans from getting back in the game. He wasn't dominant, but got key outs when he needed them and a well-timed double play to keep North Georgia scoreless through six innings.
The Yellow Jackets did break through for a run in the top of the seventh. Torii Hunter led off the seventh with a triple and scored on an Even Gattis sacrifice fly.
Metropolis scored insurance runs in the seventh, on a Sandoval double, and eighth, on a Jayson Werth homer. Craig Kimbrel took the ball from Sanchez in the bottom of the eighth inning and closed out the 5-1 win, sending Metropolis to the National League Championship Series for the fourth consecutive season.
